Huge difference in the glass from China and borosilicate glass from Europe.

Fill the cheap Chinese cruet with gourmet olive oil and quality balsamic vinegar. Then watch it shatter by just jarring it slightly.

What a waste of gourmet olive oil and Italian balsamic.

Like most Americans, I have adopted the concept that the first step to healthy cooking is to use extra virgin olive oil.

Thank you, very useful. I wasnt really a big fan of Spinach for many years (ok, that's a total lie, I hated the stuff), but after shacking up with a vegan I kind of had to get used to it, and have gradually come to love the stuff. Spinach curry is undoubtedly my absolute favourite! I even found adedicated spinach recipes website which is my new favourite site now, you should take a look!

Thanks for that, it was a great read. I can't believe it myself, but it's my wife's and my 10th anniversary next week. We met in Italy, and had some incredible shrimp pasta in this little cafe in Rome. I've been looking all over the internet for a good recipe to see if I can't make some myself to surprise her, and I even found a shrimp pasta homepage dedicated to them!

I have actually used apple cider vinegar for weight loss. I read a piece about the numerous health benefits that can be acquired from consuming it each day, I in addition noticed it mentioned that it may help with weight loss. Apple cider vinegar works through reducing water retention and increasing your metabolic rate, anyway I have lost about four lbs in about 4 weeks so I have no complaints!

We prepared this dish , it was terrific. I am certainly not what you'd call an experienced cook, and simply tend not to relish baffling recipes which get me stressed when I'm cooking. This really is very easy and flavorful, great along with a little red wine. Thanks a lot.

Trying to find a great gift for under 50 bucks is a real challenge. The glass cruets are a great choice. Especially the grape cruet. After seeing these on a nice Italian restaurant table, as a customer, you can't leave without finding out where you can purchase them!

Unique gift idea for under $50; what a find! And, this will be perfect for Holiday gift lists as well as Mother's Day.

Both the Gourmet Gift Set as well as the Bread Dipping Gift Set have made excellent gifts on my list. The cruet with the Italian oil and vinegar is a nice touch especially with some one who loves Italain Food. Sometimes it is hard to find good quality oil and vinegar, but the Masserie oil and vinegar is exceptional.

The Bread Dipping Gift Set really is a nice present for mom. The stoneware dipping dishes are ideal single serving size. The dipping herbs are wonderful when you rehydrate them before serving. The dishes are a very nice bone white color and I love that you can put them in the microwave or dishwasher. For gourmet gifts, both these gift sets are top rate.

As a client gift, the grape cruet would make a great selection. I know some mortgage companies use a smoked fish gift box... others may give a door mat or wind chime. This kitchen gift is far more practical and unique. It also is the center of attention at a dinner which guests attend. Because of its unusual design, the grape cruet is a great conversation starter, and as the company who gave the item, what more can you ask for than the question, "who gave you that?"

This gourmet gift set is ideal for our company Christmas gift list. The set of 4 bread dipping dishes along with the premium Italian Olive Oil and bread dipping herbs and spices is a complete gourmet gift idea that rivals many gift baskets we have seen. After receiving a sample, we are very impressed with the American made stoneware dipping dishes. The perfect selection for a corporate gift or client gift list for the Holiday Season.

As deliciously simple as it sounds, bread dipping requires only freshly-baked bread, premium olive oil, vinegar and a dish to mix them in. This Italian appetizer is perfect for those on the popular Mediterranean Diet, who want to eat in a healthy way but hate feeling they're depriving their taste buds.

Quite a number of individuals are resorting to the Mediterranean Diet due to society’s ever-increasing fixation on being healthy. The Mediterranean Diet is rapidly becoming popular because it allows one to follow a proper diet all while still being able to enjoy tasteful food. Bread dipping appetizers, which originate from Italy, are delicious and perfectly conform to the Mediterranean diet. To create a bread dipping appetizer, all that is needed is bread, olive oil, vinegar, and a bread dipping dish.

The desire to be healthy without feeling deprived is encouraging more and more people to follow the Mediterranean Diet. Appetizers like Italian bread dipping offer taste without guilt. You don’t have to be a chef to make it, either. With a little vinegar, some olive oil, and a great slice of bread, dieters can have a flavorful appetizer that is well within the guidelines of the healthy Mediterranean Diet.

I tried the bread dipping herbs and spices in my normal cooking. I used some in scrambled eggs, and some as a marinade with olive oil over baked salmon. I only added a bit of salt...
Wonderful taste and flavor of spices! thank you.

Dipping dishes made from American porcelain are the only way to go. Earthenware and most stoneware dishes chip real easy, which seems to happen often in the dishwasher. Porcelain dipping dishes are much more durable and are used extensively in the restuarants. Always remeber porcelain denotes quality and durability. They are well worth the expense.

The Mediterranean Diet is the diet of choice for those seeking a health conscious lifestyle. You can savour a wide range of dishes but wont feel like you have to deprive yourself.
One of the best Italian appetisers that is in the Mediterranean Diet style, and guaranteed to excite the taste-buds is bread dipping.
It is quick and simple to make an appealing Italian bread dipping appetiser. All you need for this mouthwatering dish is a bread dipping dish, fresh bread and some extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Slice a freshly baked loaf of bread and place into the dipping dish. Drizzle the olive oil and the vinegar over the bread and enjoy! For an extra special taste ass some herbs or spices of your choice to brink out that Mediterranean flavour.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and diet without compromising on flavour and choice is something most of us are trying to achieve. In Italy the simple practice of dipping freshly baked bread into extra virgin olive oil laced with balsamic vinegar and sprinkled with herbs is truly inspired. With the ready availability of Mediterranean products such as Ciabatta and Foccacia bread it has never been easier. Or, as an alternative, try French baguette and Sourdough, which also work just as well. This is perfect for sharing with friends at the start of a meal.

The Mediterranean Diet is good for dieters who don’t want to feel deprived from the food that they love. Bread dipping is a good appetizer that fits right into the Mediterranean Diet. Its easier than you can imagine to make a bread dipping appetizer. You will need a dish some bread and some vinegar and olive oil. Always use fresh baked bread, serve it with some extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Mix some herbs and spices for added flavor. You can find a variety of breads that are suitable for dipping at your local deli. Ask them for ciabatta, focaccia or sourdough. A nice freshly baked French baguette is best served while its still warm. This is wonderful on a cold winters night.

In Nov 2005, the BBC reported on olive oil research that linked the Mediterranean diet to a reduction in the risk of heart attack. Researcher, Dr Francisco Perez Jimenez concluded that the micronutrients contained within the juice of extra virgin olive oil were a large factor.

Olive oil contains phenol, which researchers in Spain believe helps to protect both cardio vascular function and the heart. Research has shown that these micronutrients provide the body with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and help to counteract blood clotting, all of which contributes to a healthy heart.

These cruets are on the table at Cellini restaurant in New York City. They use an exquisite oil that accompanies your meal, the glass cruets are used to decant the oil.

They are fabulous drizzlers that will not allow you to drizzle too much oil on your entree. They are also an elegant decanter to have on the table. Very nice!

If you have ever picked up a sticky yucky olive oil bottle at the restaurant table, you probably put it down right quick. And doubtful if you used it at all. I have been looking for dripless cruets just for this problem. I love olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and would love to use them without the mess. These look pefect for what I need.

A drizzler set is something that I never really thought of until recently. When I was younger, I generally went out to party, rather than entertaining.

Now that I've almost hit the 30 milestone though, I find that I'm happier to spend an evening at home entertaining that what I am to spend the night on a crowded dance floor having drinks and cigarette ash spilt all over me.

These oil drizzlers really fit with my new sophisticated view of entertainment. They're simple, but stunning, and I don't need to hide my olive oil or vinegar away in the cupboard anymore.

What's even better is that the oil drizzlers don't drip. It doesn't matter what substance is in them, I've yet to have a mess created. It's a big difference to my old oil bottles that used to be covered in oil stains, not to mention the bench top or table.

If you entertain, even occasionally, or enjoy olive oil and vinegar frequently, I highly recommend purchasing an oil drizzler set. Or, if someone often hosts you at their house, they would make a great host/ess gift.

The grape cruet is a wonderful addition to any table. It's simply beautiful and makes a lovely centrepiece for any occasion.

I ordered one for my mother-in-law, and then almost kept it myself when it arrived. However, I eventually decided to hand it over (mainly because I'd run out of time to find something else before her birthday).

Anyway, she loved it, and features it on the table all the time. I've since been giving hints to hubby that I wouldn't be opposed to receiving one as my birthday nears, but most likely I'll end up buying the grape cruet for myself.

My wife was given the drizzle cruet set as a birthday gift. She absolutely loves them, especially after accidently drenching a salad with olive oil poured from the manufacturer's bottle. She now drizzles everything with these cruets. They fit perfectly in her hand, and she never worries about dropping them or picking them up sticky or oily. We both really enjoy using oil and vinegar all the time when we eat. The drizzler cruets have made it easy to use either olive oil or balsamic vinegar without a concern about pouring too much at one time.

We both recommend the drizzle cruets with the Masserie Oil and Vinegar as a great gift selection. Perfect for Mother's Day surprise gift.

The oil and vinegar recipes are helpful. Some folks dont know that a good bread dipping herb mix is great sprinkled over a salad, or that a vinaigrette dressing also doubles as a great steak or chicken marinade. You have a very nice blog, good post. Thank you for the informative posts.

Gourmet Honey site. Offers detailed information about various honey varieties from around the country. Bees make extraordinary differnt flavored honey from different blossoming flora. From blackberry honey to star thistle, you simply have to taste the raw honey to experience the difference.

Bee keepers will travel with their commercial hives from the northern parts of Canada and the US to the southern regions each year. They will harvest notable honeys of water white clover honey in Montana to the pungent flavors of the south, such as sourwood and tupelo.

Caution! For the gourmet connoisseur , this is not the bland store bought honey from the grocery store. Once tasted, you may start a habit. http://honey.n-ergetics.com/

The marinade described here is very good if you are grilling meat, either chicken or steak. When we make chicken or beef fajitas we cut the meat into strips and marinade just as described above.

Using the zip lock bag is perfect, because we keep it in the fridge anywhere from 4-12 hours soaking. Its also very clean and does not smell up your fridge. Very simple to turn the meat over as well, just plop the bag over. Just before grilling, I drain the marinade from the bag and pat the meat dry with a paper towel. Some times I will brush the meat lightly with olive oil as the meat grills. Simple clean up too, just throw away the ziplock bag!

Really flavorful, folks around the neighborhood know when we are grilling, it smells so good.

I am really looking forward to using a new bread dipping dish. Dipping olive oil as an appetizer is something my family enjoys when we go out to eat. If the dipping oil has a great spice blend in it, the bread is usually wiped out before the main course is ever served.

Trying to do bread dipping at home has not been very sucessful because the saucers we have are too shallow, and the bowls we have are to big. I look forward to the new bread dipping dishes we have ordered.

We have also tried a small serving of oil with balsamic vinegar drizzled in together. It makes an excellent bread or veggie dip.

I have an Italian friend, and she introduced me to bread dipping years ago. I'm actually surprised that it's taken until now for it to become globally popular, because it's such a quick and easy appetizer to prepare.
My personal favourite bread dipping combination is some focaccia, dipped into some extra virgin olive oil, and then into some Parmesan cheese. Not only does it taste great, it's far healthier than many other snacks that I could be eating.
A bread dipping appetizer is now always my contribution to any dinner parties that I attend. I always feel that I'm cheating a little, because it's so easy to prepare, and it always gets rave reviews.

What is nice about bread dipping as an appetizer is that it really isn't a new idea. Although you are right about it being a new trend here in the States.

We have numerous popular chefs with Euro backgrounds and experience that bring Old Country bread dipping recipes and styles to the restuarants they work with. I enjoy reading many of their articles and tips they often publish.

Bread dipping with oil and vinegar is no longer just found in an Italian restuarant. It is fast becoming popular in many of our homes, thanks to the Mediterranean influence our favorite cooks have shared. Thanks mom for the home baked bread recipe!
