Gourmet Oil and Vinegar

Olive oil bottles that drizzle

olive oil bottleInexpensive olive oil bottles can be found at many retailers and grocery stores.Numerous olive oil bottle designs are simple nominal glass bottles or ceramic bottles with a rubber and chromed spout inserted at the top. select item

Often these type olive oil bottles are cumbersome to use, tip over inadvertently, drip down the sides of the bottles, and on the table. Using a matching pair of olive oil bottles; (one for olive oil, and one for vinegar) is not recommended. Unless the spouts are made from ceramic or stainless steel, extended exposure to vinegar will corrode the chromed spout, leaving it very unattractive.

A distinction should be made between the storage of olive oil and the dispensing of olive oil. In the kitchen, large clear olive oil bottles with spouts are not the best storage solution for olive oil. Olive oil should be kept in darkened air tight bottles for storage. Usually the olive oil manufacturer will bottle into dark colored bottles that are resistant to UV, or ultraviolet light, and provide re-usable caps or cork stoppers to seal the bottle once opened.

Obviously a manufacturer’s bottle is not the optimum dispensing bottle for olive oil when placed on the dining table. Decanting olive oil bottles should be both durable and practical. A smaller measure of olive oil is desirable for table use. 6 to 8 ounces of olive oil will work for normal table use. This will insure the olive oil is refilled often enough to remain fresh and preserve the delicate taste of a quality olive oil.

An ideal olive oil bottle should also double as a drizzle server. Hand made drizzle cruets feature an elegant Euro design and drizzle perfectly for even the most discerning gourmet chef. Made from durable technical grade glass, these two piece olive oil bottles drizzle any manner of oil, vinegar, or flavored syrups perfectly. They have a flared neck for preventing drip and have glass spouts that are hygienic and non corrosive. Filling the olive oil bottles is easy as they come with a flared glass neck that also acts as a built in funnel.

With drizzle cruets on the table, you can show off the finest olive oil and balsamic vinegar while practically dispensing oil and vinegar without drips and sticky olive oil bottles to touch.
